Role: Casey
A lonely, isolated gig worker living with her aging mother in a small mountain town in West New York. She embodies the ennui and hopelessness of a perceptive young person in contemporary America. Sensing the lack of possibility her world offers, she humbly hustles for a slightly better situation by taking any interviews she can get. She doesn’t complain, though it’s all quietly suffocating. After all, what’s the alternative?
One night while out delivering pizza, Casey is sent to a mysterious digital art museum as it's in the process of setting up for its next exhibition the following day. Before leaving, she’s given a card with info for the exhibition and a website on the back.
Back at home, Casey visits the site listed on the back of the card, bringing her into an unexpected adventure art game called [Redacted]. As Casey journeys through the game, she learns about an emerging movement, one fighting for a freer, more transparent internet and led by creatives.
As the game progresses, Casey opens up to a stranger who lives on the other side of the world. This stranger, a pseudonymous artist from the Middle East, inspires her to think in new ways and leads her back to the museum for the opening the following day, and into a future with new hope.
