'To God's Ear'

Casting "To God's Ear," a short film. Looking for a character driven independent short drama for a veteran DGA filmmaker with feature films and documentaries in his portfolio. The film will be made as a concept piece for a feature film with the goal to do festival runs.The story centers around two young female leads, Cass, age 12-14 and Lutty, age 15-17. An unlikely friendship develops as Lutty, a lively, outspoken teenager, helps Cass cope with her debilitating fear after a traumatic incident. The story unfolds on a horse farm on Long Island. Casting for all leads, supporting characters and extras. Supporting characters include Luke 28-40, Cass's father, and Abby 65-75, an older. horsewise woman that runs a nearby farm. Two extras will include a younger male bartender and older male bar patron.
